    CBRE DESIGN COLLECTIVE is seeking a DESIGNER I with experience in the following markets:

    • Corporate (preferred)

    • Aviation (desired)

    • Retail (desired)

    • Hospitality (desired)

    This position will be located in SAN FRANCISCO.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

    • Become an active member of our design team through all phases of the process.

    • Under the direction of the Project Lead, perform the following:

    • Contribute to the development of the initial phases of design, including evaluating client needs, programming, and space planning.

    • Contribute to the development of 2D and 3D design concepts and planning strategies.

    • Assist with product, material, and finish selections.

    • Contribute to the selection and specification of furnishings, artwork, accessories, and plants.

    • Contribute to the development of effective 2D and 3D design representations including views, renderings, illustrations, and presentations.

    • Assist in the preparation of contract documents and furniture bid / specification documents.

    • Assist with submittal reviews and RFI responses during the construction administration phase.

    • Exercise independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design techniques and procedures.

    • Assist with development of marketing pursuits and other collateral as necessary.

    TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from a four-year college or university with a Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum

    • OR a Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.Arch) or Master's Degree (M.Arch) in Architecture from a four-year college or university with an accredited architectural curriculum (National Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).

    • No prior work experience at a firm is required.

    • Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.

    • Experience with AutoCAD and construction management tools such as Procore a plus.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

    • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to clients.

    • Ability to effectively present information.

    • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

    • Ability to work independently to solve problems involving multiple options.
