ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting (IA&R) Internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your career in the commercial real estate industry. This 8-week summer intern program will introduce you to our company, our fast-paced industry, and our world-class professionals.

CBRE IA&R is the only 100% dedicated Real Estate Fund and Property accounting business supporting Global and Pan-European coordination for clients providing Fund & SPV Accounting, Investor Reporting, and Performance Measurement services to real estate investment companies, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors in key financial markets.

Program participants will receive real-world training and participate in networking and learning opportunities within one of the following departments:

• Business Development - develops sales strategies, segments the market, develops sales collateral, and engages in sales presentations

• Client Servicing - applies accounting knowledge in preparing client’s financial books and records

• Digital Business Operations - Leverages knowledge of technology to support internal and external clients in technology use, business process improvement, and training

• Finance - utilizes knowledge as well as functional expertise to deliver consistent, world-class budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and analysis support.

• Onboarding & Client Management - transforms the way we govern clients to deliver outcomes, and strategy consistently, and efficiently, with the right governance and full transparency.

• Product - gathers, manages, and prioritizes internal and external needs

The summer internship will begin in June 2023 and end in July 2023. Interns will be located in either Dallas, New York City, Minneapolis or Los Angeles. You must have the ability to work in person from one of these cities over the summer in order to be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

• Design and delivery of insights that analyze business functions, key operations, and performance metrics

• Work with the management team on projects and initiatives

• Support the teams in meeting client deliverables

• Complete special projects for financial analysis to support client financial outcomes

• Assist in developing and preparing marketing and presentation materials to support of business development

QUALIFICATIONS

• The internship is designed for driven analytical candidates with a strong academic background, preferably in business, accounting, finance, or real estate.

• Current college junior, senior or grad student pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university (major in business, economics, data analytics field preferred) and/or MBA

• Applicants should be self-motivated, creative, and disciplined, and exhibit a demonstrated interest in accounting or the commercial real estate industry.

• Requires knowledge of basic financial terms, concepts, and accounting principles

• Desire to work in a global company in an accounting or finance capacity, commercial real estate industry interest a plus

• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present information.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
