Our office is located in Irvine, close to the 405, 55 and 73 FWYS however due to COVID-19, the position will be remotely located. CANDIDATES WHO LIVE OUTSIDE OF CALIFORNIA WHO CAN HANDLE THE RESPONSIBILITY FROM A PERMANENT REMOTE LOCATION WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Requirements Our Company is seeking a full-time Controller.  Salary depends on experience. We offer excellent benefits, which include PTO, 401k plan and health insurance. Position reports directly to the CFO and oversees a team of 5 Accountants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management of accounting department team

Ensure financial compliance with HUD, Lenders, State Housing Authorities and Contract Administrators

Cash management

Budget and Tenant ledger analysis

Month-end & Year-end closing

Work closely with CPA to issue annual HUD audited financials

Review & create monthly executive financial packet reports

Daily accounting including property management’s books, credit card billing and payroll

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE:

At least five years of experience as a Controller or similar role

4-year degree in Business, Finance or a related field

Working knowledge Yardi

Excellent communication skills

NOT REQUIRED, BUT HIGH DESIRABLE:

Income tax preparation experience

Real Estate financing and/or due diligence experience

Basic understanding of construction accounting

LIHTC- Low income housing tax credit experience

Multi-family Apartments experience
