McKean is seeking a MATLAB/Simulink Development Engineer to work with software development for Navy machinery control systems/products. The position will focus on using software tools for modeling of new systems and duplication of existing systems for issue identification and resolution, upgrade feasibility and proof-of-concept, and new design analysis.
Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, and/or LABVIEW to participate in the development of embedded software within control systems.
Troubleshoot and correct software issues
Develop and test controls software
Updating and developing documentation for models, designs, and tests
Required Skills
CompTIA Security+ Certification is a plus
Windows or Linux OS Certification(s) is a plus
Candidate shall have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Computer), or Computer Science
Minimum Five (5) years of professional engineering experience; over 10 years is preferred
Two (2) or more years of professional experience using MATLAB/Simulink and/or LABVIEW for modeling, testing, and designing systems.
