We are actively seeking a skilled Scheduling Manager / Sr. Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for managing the launch dates for a team providing coverage on over 400 individual TV and film titles, ensuring effective communication of these dates, adjusting them when required, and managing various competing priorities for each title.
** Responsibilities:**
Operations:
- Manage long and short-term launch planning with a team covering over 400 UCAN Nonfiction, Film and Scripted titles.
- **Partner with the Launch Analytics & Data Science teams to leverage key metrics that guide the scheduling team and cater to future analytical requirements. **
- Work with content leads and production teams to ensure readiness for launch, identifying and addressing any hurdles, risks, or weaknesses that may affect planned release dates.
- Collaboratively work with financial planning teams to accomplish budgetary objectives and align release dates.
- Conduct multiple cross-functional meetings to share and gather feedback regarding the content schedule and any modifications, thereby being the trusted source of truth for each title's launch date and strategy.
- Articulate the Netflix slate to senior leadership, including content, product and marketing teams, ensuring a unified approach with individual title teams.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of scheduling tools and systems.
Strategy:
- Be a strong thought partner in developing scheduling strategies and the tactics to execute new and existing strategies that drive Netflix's value to its members.
- Understand industry trends and competitive strategies deeply, translating them into broader learnings for Netflix executives.
- Help develop ideas to improve slate engagement and scheduling processes and strategy.
- Analyze audience viewing patterns and preferences, efficiently organizing content availability to maximize viewer engagement.
** Qualifications:**
- ** Industry Knowledge: Minimum 10 years of experience within the TV/Film industry, preferably in programming and scheduling at a studio, network, or streaming service. **
- **Influencing Skills : Ability to successfully interact with and influence stakeholders, including those within creative and content production teams. **
- **Executive Interaction : Proven ability to anticipate and meet the expectations and demands of senior-level executives. **
- **Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a consistent focus on generating results. **
- **Self-motivation and Discipline : Having a proactive mindset, with the discipline to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. **
- **Intellectual Curiosity : A strong inquisitiveness and desire to continuously learn and improve, coupled with an extensive understanding of industry trends. **
- **Organizational Skills : Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to remain organized while handling multiple competing priorities. **
- **Analytical Skills : High proficiency in data analysis, with a firm grasp of Excel/Google Sheets/Airtable/Tableau for the management and interpretation of complex data sets. **
- **Problem Solving : Ability to foresee potential issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. **
- **Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication abilities in order to clearly relay launch dates, potential adjustments, and changes in strategy to various internal and external stakeholders. **
Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $178,000.00 - $294,000.00.
