    Our global marketing team is looking for a Social Media Specialist for their team. You understand how to use social media on strategic levels. You are both creative and commercial and can craft unique messages ensuring it aligns with our brand. Analyzing social activity and answering customer queries is a strength that you enjoy.     Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, you will work with our journal’s division and have an integral part in promoting Taylor & Francis and building social communities on specific portfolio accounts. It’s not about firing out generic broadcasts—we want you to be at the heart of the social conversation about the subject areas we publish, be able to identify and build relationships with key influencers, and spread the word about the research we publish to (and beyond) our existing communities.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: 

    • Implementing social media plans with a focus on building engaged communities, helping to evaluate and measuring activity against agreed KPIs 
    • Owning the planning, implementing, optimizing and reporting on channel activity, within a designated network of accounts or on specific projects and in line with channel trends  
    • Managing the social media element of campaigns across paid and organic 
    • Seeking opportunities to present information and upskill across the department, sharing expertise to build capability at multiple levels 
    • Undertaking and supporting channel research to improve tactics and campaign plans, and understand customer, competitor and market developments. Ensuring knowledge is feeding outcomes into own plans and those of wider department

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A social media professional with experience working in a social media marketing role, managing multiple accounts
    • Understanding why social is important in building brand awareness
    • Creative and editorial skills, with a proven ability to adapt content and copy to fit a target audience 
    • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter essential) and how they should be used for the relevant target audience 
    • Experience using one of the big social media tools such as Hootsuite (or similar) 
    • Experience of working on tasks independently 
    • Proven track record of running paid social media campaigns and the ability to report against KPI’s 
    • Ability to develop and manage business relationships with key external and internal contributors 
    • Able to analyze and report on social media marketing performance, with Excel skills to support this 
    •  A team player, a great communicator and a proactive multi-tasker
