REAL ESTATE UNDERWRITING ANALYST

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Mynd is seeking a Real Estate Underwriting Analyst to join the Investment Services team. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Real Estate professional. The primary focus of this position is to support single family real estate rental (SFR) investments (1-4 units).  This person will be performing deep qualitative and quantitative analysis, and supporting transactions from inception to close.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underwriting for specific investment properties
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis for the purpose of improving systematic underwriting on large quantities of available listings
• Financial modeling for various investment related purposes
• Working collaboratively with various departments (i.e. data science, product, growth, etc…) to improve underwriting systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience with Real Estate underwriting, preferably for investment purposes
• Prior experience with single family and/or multifamily assets 
• Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills, especially working with spreadsheets
• High degree of accuracy, organization and attention to detail
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Data-driven, tech savvy and familiar with industry property management software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with change and ambiguity in a high-growth startup environment
• Passion for real estate and investing
