Our Production Planning UI team is helping achieve that vision by building out an exciting new suite of apps to efficiently scale out our growing number of Netflix productions. We have an ambitious goal of reimagining the way production teams optimize scheduling, leverage “what-if” analysis and identify the optimal physical resources for filming. We are a relatively new team within Netflix where are still small enough that everyone we hire has a huge impact on the product.

We focus on building experiences around improving the “Pitch to Play” process.

You will directly impact our ability to scale Netflix Original productions by collaborating with key stakeholders in content creation.

We are building a foundation UI Engineering team focused on collaboration, pragmatism, and support.

What you’ll do:

Partner with the UX design and product management teams to innovate and develop new design and interaction concepts that support our production planning teams.

Write clean, maintainable code while rapidly iterating and shipping features

Exercise your expertise in architecture and design to deliver compelling customized experiences that are lightweight and robust.

You have deep experience working with modern UI frameworks (React, Redux, Angular, etc) to build single-page applications in JavaScript.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create and modify front-end web interfaces for Nx products based on user requirements

Create and modify internal company web tools based on team requirements

Integrate web applications with native applications

Keep up-to-date on developer tools and industry trends to optimize performance and efficiency

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

3+ years of professional web development

Bachelor degree in STEM field

Expert working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and web browser standards and practices.

Understanding of UI software design patterns (MVC/MVVP)

Hands-on experience with Javascript frameworks like Angular or equivalent.

Experience in server-side development (Python)

Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Advanced experience in Angular

Hands-on experience with Django

Experience in developing Multimedia web applications (animations, video)

Experience working with Mercurial, Docker, and Linux in general
