THE OPPORTUNITY

As One Medical's Head of of Internal Communications, you will be integral in developing, executing and iterating on our internal communication strategies that are creative, innovative and ultimately motivate and delight our team members while informing them. This is an individual contributor role. Reporting into our Chief People Officer and working closely with our Senior Leadership team, including our CEO, you will be responsible for proactively ensuring seamless communication of key organizational news and updates, initiatives, and executive messages. This includes but is not limited to writing and editing critical communications, ensuring we have a consistent communication vehicle to communicate important information that is vital for the organization to know, and skillfully assist and coach our senior leaders with their team communications.  

We are looking for someone who is not only an excellent writer and overall communicator, but someone able to communicate in the One Medical voice with our people and mission always at the forefront. You should not be shy to use different forms of communication with the latest technology and have an innovative spirit to get our message across internally. It will be critical to your success that you are resilient and can operate effectively amidst ambiguity. You should also be a person that prides themselves on being able to build relationships and earn trust across all levels of an organization. WHAT YOU'LL LIKELY WORK ON: 

• Strengthen our internal communications strategy that includes the delivery of on-brand content and messaging for team members through a variety of mediums and channels (for example: intranet, email, collateral, video, talking points, articles, blogs, town halls)
• Work closely with senior leaders to write, edit, and disseminate important messages to team members using the One Medical voice 
• Manage complex, fast-moving communications challenges
• Be well versed and experienced in change management principles 
• Serve as a key liaison and work across departments, ensuring consistency and standards for communications (forums, structures, and processes) between senior leadership, managers, and team members in various channels and on strategic initiatives, company news, cross-departmental updates and celebrating wins across One Medical 
• Proactively lead and execute internal communications surveys, projects and campaigns that align with, articulate, and support One Medical's business goals and values 
• Continually think of new ways to excite, engage, and inform team members and building the tools and resources our teams need to scale internal communications across the company
• Build a relationship with and partner closely with the CEO to align communication between the office of the CEO and employees

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 8+ years of experience in communications, PR or  Marketing with a minimum of 4 years in internal communications
• Proven success in building and implementing programs that delight, inform and motivate a large diverse and dispersed workforce
• Experience in change management and ability to pivot and react quickly to new information
• Exceptional written, oral and storytelling communications skills using a variety of modalities 
• Skilled at project planning & management such that you can independently break down and prioritize work, build a project plan, develop monitoring processes and metrics 
• Expert relationship-builder with a proven track record of success supporting all levels, from junior team members to senior leadership 
• Public company experience
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or equivalent is preferred

This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, CA. Willing to travel to One Medical locations outside of San Francisco as needed.
