    Job Description

    ABOUT US

One Medical is a primary care platform challenging the industry status quo by making quality care more affordable, accessible and enjoyable. But this isn't your average doctor's office. We're on a mission to radically transform healthcare, which means tackling the frustrations of everyone involved — from patients and providers to employers and health networks.

Across the country, our members enjoy seamless access to comprehensive care at more than 90 locations across thirteen cities (and counting!) as well as 24/7 access to virtual care powered by intelligent uses of technology. In addition to a direct-to-consumer membership model, we work with more than 7,000 companies to provide One Medical health benefits to their employees.

On January 31, 2020 we marked a milestone with our public listing on Nasdaq, but our work is far from over. As we continue to grow and broaden our impact, we're building a diverse, driven and empathetic team, while working hard to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.

    THE OPPORTUNITY

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Product Designer to join the team working on our in-house medical record - a system we designed and built from scratch so that it can best support our providers to give the best possible care for our members. The medical record is the heart and soul of our organization, supporting all providers and other team members in our 80+ medical offices across the nation. In this role, you will not only work with your product development team members, but you will get a chance to work (literally!) side by side with our doctors and other medical providers to deeply understand their workflows when caring for our patients. You'll do early concepting and design sprints with your target users and cross-functional team members, you design and test user interfaces, and you gain an understanding of how primary care can truly save lives. Simply put: your work will span the entire lifecycle of product and user experience.

You are a committed team player who knows that great products are only delivered through building relationships and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. You thrive by solving complex problems from start to finish while ensuring every stakeholder is on board and working together. You're humble, focus on craft and quality, and have a get it done attitude!

    WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

    • Help to gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers and work effectively to ship designs
    • Develop user flows and interface mocks
    • Improve the UX of our internal health record system
    • Prepare and conduct research as needed with internal and external stakeholders
    • Partner with Product Management in creating strategy documents

    YOU'LL NEED:

    • 3+ years as a Product Designer in an agile environment
    • An online portfolio including in-depth dives to several projects you've worked on, and your journey to the final solution
    • You have solid design skills and are fluent in using appropriate design tools to support all phases of the design process
    • Exposure, passion and curiosity for complex problems - ex: large scale systems and internal tools
    • Comfort using Figma or Sketch, and Miro
    • Ability to thrive working in small cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers, operations, clinical, and QA, among others
    • A focus on human and value-centered design—you think about design decisions that drive the business forward while ensuring all users get the best experience

BENEFITS DESIGNED TO AID YOUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS:
