This position requires the candidate to: call upon, develop, and deliver services to customers and prospective customers, follow and develop a calling program in conjunction with other company personnel and alone, maintain files and statistical information and analyze information for customer development, and provide guidance to other company personnel related to business development. Helps establish marketing goals to ensure market share and profitability of products and/or services. Executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the sales/profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services. Strategies included customer retention and acquisition. Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized. Establishes seminars and educational programs for internal and external customers. Evaluates market reactions to advertising programs, merchandising policy, and product packaging/distribution to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Recommends changes in basic structure and organization of marketing group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to move swiftly in relation to marketing problems and opportunities.
