Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Instant streaming is a key component of Netflix's future strategy. Our first product to support instant streaming to TVs was launched in May 2008. Since then, we have continued to grow the number of Netflix-enabled devices across Smart TVs, Blu-ray players, streaming sticks, and Operator set-top boxes, now amassing thousands of unique integrations. Our partnerships encompass many of the world's leading consumer electronics brands, including Samsung, LG, Amazon, and Roku, as well as numerous top global operators.

With millions of users streaming Netflix, device reliability is a critical focus area. We aim to delight our customers with a service that consistently works, allowing them to watch Netflix. The Device Reliability Team is responsible for post-launch monitoring and supporting our partners' Netflix integrations on Smart TVs, Blu-ray players, general set-top boxes (e.g., Roku), and MVPD set-top boxes (e.g., satellite and cable boxes) to enhance the overall quality and reliability of our systems.

We are monitoring device health in the field across a wide range of different device types. We triage, root cause, and manage issues through to resolution as they arise. In addition, we drive learnings from these issues back to the rest of Netflix and work closely with cross-functional teams to build more resilient products, improve our processes, and develop better-quality features. For more background and details on the team, please see this LinkedIn post .
