    Job Description

    TEWS Company is assisting an exciting & growing organization to hire a Data Solutions Architect on a long term consulting basis.. This is a REMOTE position with a very competitive rate. Build an understanding of customer needs through all stages of the product/project life cycle and ensure that project and business objectives are met through the leadership of business and technical teams. Foster trust and strong ongoing partnerships with business units.

    The Data Solutions Architect will consult with the business & technology SMEs from various disciplines in IT (application, infrastructure, data/information, security, testing, etc.) to define the most effective data solutions. The Data Solutions Architect will focus on gathering requirements, documenting data streams, conceptualizing data from different silos, talking to DBAs, helping pulling data in data lakes, how is database architecture structured, etc. -Some of their strategic priorities are to stand up some solutions for Business Intelligence. -Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, etc. -This person will gather requirements from the business and work with the technical teams. Will look at type of data, how they export it, where does the data come from and go to. -They will be using tools like Power BI for visualization & Snowflake (data warehouse tool)

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work closely with business and technical partners to understand their challenges, processes and opportunities. Identify and propose solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
    • Communicate and convey goals, scope, decisions, concerns, or relevant other issues between management, project leader, project and technical team members and vendors in an accurate and timely fashion.
    • Identify, recommend and implement process improvements.
    • Utilize company resources to curate data
    • Analyze data for business, market trends and patterns
    • Generate reports with market trends past and present
    • Design new data collection models to better collect information
    • Coordinate with business and IT department to implement new models
    • Perform data profiling to identify anomalies
    • Understand and document current and future state business processes. Identify opportunities for efficiency and workflow improvement to business processes and make recommendations as required.
    • Elicit, define, document, and prioritize business requirements to plan for technology and process changes.
    • Map business requirements to solution features and ensure requirements are satisfied.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop documentation in compliance with corporate methodology and standards, including project charters, requirements definition, training materials, task lists, test scripts, and other relevant material.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.
    • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational and application requirements.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and logically.
    • Familiarity with data collection software and protocols
    • Understanding of Agile Software Development methodology. Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and Lucidchart desired.
    • Excellent planning and organization skills.
    • Ability to recognize alternative and unconventional solutions
    • Deliver informative, well-organized presentations and provide instruction in one-on-one and group sessions.
    • Communicate with all levels of management.
    • Work as a team member and independently.
    • Apply independent judgment in job duties with parameters established by management.
