    Job Description

     East Dallas area client is looking for a Payroll Manager/Administrator to join their team on a contract basis.

    • Experience as the only payroll professional preferred
    • Ultipro or Paycom experience highly preferred
    • Experience processing payroll for at least 200 hourly employees
    • Excel (vlookups REQUIRED)

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data for weekly payroll processing.
    • Processes any manual or off cycle payments, employee reimbursements, termination pay as needed
    • Manages multiple assignments simultaneously; remains organized, detail oriented and flexible in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
    • Develop processes to ensure accuracy of payroll data to include reviewing and approving changes to employees' records.
    • Ensure that payroll is processed in a timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
    • Prepare weekly reports for management.
    • Resolve issues by answering payroll-related questions and requests.
    • Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
    • Coordinate and process timely filing of vehicle accident claims with the insurance company.
    • Maintain Company personnel and insurance claim files.
    • Contribute to team effort as special requests, projects or system changes arise.
    • Prompt and friendly customer service for employees
    • Cross train in human resources to serve as back-up

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 5 years payroll experience
    • Thrive in a high growth environment
    • Direct exposure to hourly pay structures is desirable
    • Familiar with the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) and DOL (Dept. of Labor) requirements
    • Must be a dependable and organized self-starter
    • Detail and deadline oriented
    • Strong desire for accuracy
    • Customer service attitude with excellent communication skills
    • Intermediate level Excel user
    • UltiPro software experience is preferred, not required
    • Some supervisory experience is preferred, not required
    • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
    • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
