Multiple positions available in various departments including but not limited to Finance, Development, Sales, IT and Marketing. #WRK4UDR GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: This detailed, fast-paced active and service-oriented position takes daily direction from the hiring manager as well as the Senior Management team. The program is designed to provide the graduate student with a positive learning/work experience providing the opportunity to grow and sharpen their practical work skills, and contribute toward the successful achievement of the Company. The responsibilities in this job also include providing analytical support, managing multiple deadlines, building and maintaining important office relationships, innovatively solving problems, special project management, and other tasks as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Supervisor/Manager in department of assignment. TIME COMMITMENT: This is a temporary position for three months, typically starting in June. The start and end dates and hourly commitment of the internship are flexible and can be adjusted based on managements needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with a variety of research and writing projects designed to increase stakeholder understanding of Company markets. Participate, plan and present a relevant Company focused team project encompassing all functional areas of the Company. Facilitate work flow and statistical analysis combining personal interest and business needs to create a meaningful work experience that benefits the intern and the businesses. Create templates and databases to facilitate review and project metrics, as needed. Participate in team meeting discussions to assist with the daily departmental business requirements and follow-up with presentations of valuable data as required. Engage in program planning, development, implementation and evaluation; perform special projects as requested or required. Develop an understanding of the industry focused on transactions, development, technology and operations. Attend, participate and satisfactorily complete online and classroom facilitated training. Participate in the Company Internship Program feedback, evaluation, and Exit Questionnaire. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary. Requirements PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Become familiar with organizational policies and procedures. Appreciation of business concepts and requirements. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and statistics. Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving and decision making skills. May require the ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to use research analysis in order to provide support to the business unit assigned to. The individual must be energetic, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with quick turnarounds and tight deadlines. Proficiency in public speaking and presentation skill to all organizational levels, specifically the Senior Management Team. Ability to respond professionally and concisely to any inquires specific to a presentation or work product. Must be a self-starter and have strong organizational and analytical skills, effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to professionally work well with others and to maintain positive relationships with co-workers, Company managers, clients, and customers both internal and external. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point and an ability to learn and utilize other software products needed. Ability to perform numerous administrative duties and to create, compose, and edit written materials. Skilled in the use of spreadsheet and relational database. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some bending, stooping and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Possibility of occasional evening or weekend work. REQUIREMENTS: In order to apply, applicants must be: Currently enrolled graduate students with an interest in Real Estate and/or general business. U.S. citizens or legal permanent resident. Able to demonstrate leadership abilities and excellent oral and written communication skills. Be in good academic standing and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
