• Develop, coordinate and direct music ministry.
• Encourage members and attendees to worship through music and to use their musical gifts as part of the ministry.
• Work with other ministries at Back Creek Church (BCC) (e.g., Children, Youth, etc.) under direction of the Senior Pastor to incorporate music as part of their ministry.
• Work with Senior Pastor to direct and coordinate the music ministry at worship services.
• Work with the Worship Committee on the use, purchase and long term strategy for sound and video equipment including recruitment, training and oversight of the sound and video teams.
• Manage the budget allocated to the Music Ministry through the Worship Committee and plan budget requests for subsequent years.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Desire to become a member of BCC within six months.
• Along with the Musicians/Praise Team prepare for and lead worship through music at Sunday services.
• Coordinate with Senior Pastor for liturgy (including music) at all services at BCC.
• Recruit, develop and lead the Musicians/Praise Team from within the congregation and supplement as necessary with musicians outside the congregation.
• Represent the Music Ministry as a member of the Worship Committee.
• Lead the music at all Sunday services and other services (e.g., events, retreats, etc.) as directed by the Senior Pastor. Delegate responsibility as necessary for coverage.
• Use planning tools to coordinate and schedule weekly the musicians, vocalists and audio/visual operators.
• Hold regular rehearsals.

Candidates should have a passion for ministry, musical competence (vocally and instrumentally), and leadership abilities.
