    What Your Day Will Look Like

    As an Interior Designer at SHM, you’ll support the Interior Design Studio across multiple luxury residential and commercial projects. You will be engaged in all phases of design and execution, including:

    • Contributing to schematic design, design development, contract documents, and project administration
    • Managing and tracking project schedules, budgets, and additional services
    • Assisting with finish plans, selections, specifications, and drawing sets
    • Preparing client presentations and participating in client and contractor meetings
    • Collaborating with contractors and vendors on FF&E, including selection, specification, proposal management, ordering, tracking, and installation
    • Maintaining digital and physical material libraries
    • Applying established interior design standards and best practices

    This is a dynamic role for a creative, detail-driven designer who enjoys balancing concept development with real-world execution.

    Technical & Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (required)
    • 3–6 years of professional experience in interior design (mid-level), ideally including high-end residential or hospitality experience
    • Ability to curate sophisticated, luxury-minded designs for high-net-worth clientele
    • Construction document experience
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
    • Exposure to SketchUp or Studio Webware is a plus
    • Strong sketching and technical detailing abilities
    • Licensure not required (in process is a plus)

    What It’s Like to Work Here

    You’ll work in the iconic Meadows Building at Energy Square—steps from the Lovers Lane DART Station—surrounded by creative peers in a collaborative, open-concept studio. Hours are typically 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, with flexibility as long as client and project needs come first. Some local or overnight travel may be required.

    Qualifying Questions (5–6)

    To determine if this opportunity aligns with your background, please answer the following:

    1. Do you hold a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field?
    2. Do you have 3–6 years of interior design experience, including any exposure to high-end residential or hospitality projects?
    3. Are you proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit, and comfortable producing or assisting with construction documents?
    4. Have you had experience sourcing, selecting, and curating FF&E for luxury residential or high-net-worth clients?
    5. Are you proficient in Microsoft Office 365, and do you have experience with SketchUp or Studio Webware (if applicable)?
    6. Can you provide examples of technical detailing, sketching, or project documentation you’ve contributed to?
