Core Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Architect comprehensive civil engineering plans for complex residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects.

• Technical Excellence: Engineer high-fidelity grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans utilizing expert-level AutoCAD Civil 3D workflows.

• Project Integration: Coordinate seamlessly with internal survey, landscape, and architectural teams to ensure cohesive, multi-disciplinary site designs.

• Due Diligence & Strategy: Lead site layout planning, conduct rigorous due diligence studies, and perform deep-dive code research to ensure project viability.

• Regulatory Navigation: Partner with senior leadership to steer projects through the intricacies of the design and permitting phases.

• Junior Mentorship: Serve as a technical resource and informal mentor to graduate engineers and EITs, fostering the next generation of AEC talent.

• Quality Stewardship: Ensure all deliverables meet the firm's rigorous standards for accuracy, safety, and aesthetic integration.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.

• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT status with a clear, documented path to licensure.

• Experience: 4+ years of professional experience specifically within civil site or land development design.

• Software Proficiency: Advanced command of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Setting: Ability to work full-time in-office in Austin, TX.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local Expertise: Specific experience navigating the City of Austin or Central Texas permitting and regulatory environment.

• Advanced Modeling: Proficiency in advanced hydrological modeling or specialized storm water management software.

• Project Ownership: Demonstrated experience managing small-to-medium design tasks from initial concept through construction administration.
