    About the Role

    A respected civil engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee construction-phase services for public infrastructure projects across Southern California. This role involves direct coordination with agency clients, contractors, and inspection staff, ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with contract documents, timelines, and quality standards.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead construction management efforts across multiple public infrastructure projects

    • Interpret construction documents, manage contract compliance, and identify constructability issues

    • Supervise inspection staff and coordinate subconsultants and regulatory agencies

    • Lead pre-construction, progress, and closeout meetings with stakeholders

    • Monitor and update construction schedules; manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders

    • Maintain daily reports, photo documentation, and all relevant field records

    • Review pay applications and recommend approval based on work completed

    • Ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget adherence throughout the project lifecycle

    • Provide dispute resolution support and issue escalation as needed

    What You Bring

    • 10+ years of construction management experience on public works or civil infrastructure projects

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)

    • California PE license or CCM certification (preferred)

    • Experience with agency coordination and construction contract administration

    • Strong leadership and communication skills; experience supervising inspection staff

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools

    • Knowledge of public works standards, construction law, and inspection processes

    • Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
