Opportunity: Design Project Manager
We are an established and respected firm in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry, with offices in multiple U.S. cities and internationally. We are seeking an experienced Design Project Manager to lead project teams and serve as the primary client contact. This is a key position responsible for ensuring successful project completion by adhering to schedules, budgets, programmatic requirements, cost expectations, and quality objectives.
Overview:
The Design Project Manager will effectively plan, coordinate, and track all design activities to ensure successful project execution. The role requires maintaining strong client relationships, managing financials, and overseeing the project’s progress while adhering to timelines and quality goals.
General Responsibilities:
- Prepare and finalize contracts for architectural, engineering, or design/build services.
- Deliver strategic and creative project solutions to meet client needs.
- Develop and implement a project plan to complete the scope of work.
- Communicate complex technical information to clients, contractors, and design teams in an understandable manner.
- Ensure design schedules are maintained and anticipate staffing resource needs.
- Coordinate the interface between the design/build team and various stakeholders.
- Manage project financials to ensure profitability, including entering and maintaining financial information in the PM system.
- Oversee invoicing and fee collection for the project.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5-20 years of experience managing complex industrial projects.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost allocation procedures.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Design/Build experience preferred.
- Experience with food processing projects is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $165,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
