From early system planning through construction administration, you’ll play a central role in ensuring projects are technically sound, coordinated, and delivered to the highest engineering standards.

The firm operates in a highly collaborative environment where engineers are trusted with real ownership and visibility. You’ll work directly with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to technically demanding projects that require both precision and problem-solving. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on engineering with leadership, field involvement, and long-term project impact.

    • Perform field investigations, site surveys, and verification of existing electrical systems
    • Develop engineering drawings and construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit in alignment with company standards
    • Perform electrical calculations including load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, and coordination studies
    • Conduct arc flash studies and generate technical reports utilizing Easy Power or SKM Powertools
    • Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, architectural, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated project delivery
    • Assist in developing specifications, schematic narratives, technical reports, and engineering documentation
    • Coordinate with utility providers and vendors regarding equipment selection, service requirements, and technical integration
    • Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction-phase documentation to ensure quality and compliance
    • Mentor designers and junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout project execution
    • Identify and proactively resolve technical design challenges while communicating effectively with project leadership and clients
    • Support QA/QC initiatives to maintain consistency, constructability, and engineering excellence across all deliverables

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
    • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment or related industry
    • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Easy Power, and SKM Powertools
    • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical systems design, building codes, arc flash analysis, short circuit studies, and multidisciplinary coordination
    • Project Execution: Ability to independently manage engineering responsibilities throughout all phases of the design process
    • Communication: Strong coordination and communication skills with internal teams, vendors, utilities, and clients

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or NCEES certification preferred
    • Experience within mission critical, telecommunications, government, or large-scale commercial project environments
