About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer Project Manager to lead the design and management of building electrical systems across diverse sectors, including healthcare, municipal/public safety, institutional, residential, and retail/automotive projects. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, client relationship management, and team leadership. Candidates should have a strong background in building systems design, project management, and code compliance.
What You’ll Do
Lead electrical design for building power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and specialty systems
Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships
Oversee project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time, quality delivery
Prepare and review electrical construction documents (one-line diagrams, load calculations, lighting layouts, specifications)
Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection engineers, architects, and consultants
Conduct site visits for field verification, construction administration, and punch lists
Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and local building codes
Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and oversight
Assist with proposals, RFP responses, and business development initiatives
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months
6–15 years of electrical engineering experience in building systems design
Proven project management experience on multi-discipline projects
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and building codes
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with lighting calculation software preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
