    About the Role:

A multidisciplinary design and engineering firm is seeking a licensed Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical design efforts across retail, industrial, multifamily, senior living, and commercial development projects. You’ll drive systems design, mentor junior staff, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver technical excellence — on time and on budget.

    • Design power distribution and lighting systems in accordance with building codes and client specs

    • Perform engineering calculations, load analysis, and equipment selection (DX, switchgear, panels, etc.)

    • Lead project coordination across disciplines — structural, mechanical, fire protection, permitting

    • Provide redlines, construction documents, and QA/QC oversight

    • Estimate hours, assist with staffing and project scheduling

    • Supervise and mentor designers and junior engineers

    • Coordinate directly with clients and serve as technical point of contact

    • Participate in project review meetings and support proposal development as needed

    • Ensure technical accuracy, design clarity, and internal QA compliance across all documents

    • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical systems design

    • PE license required

    • Strong command of electrical codes and discipline-specific standards

    • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering modeling tools

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects independently

    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

    • Strong leadership, time management, and mentoring skills

    • 100% paid licensing and professional memberships

    • Generous 401(k) match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and pet-friendly benefits

    • Casual, team-first culture with growth opportunities across MEP, structural, and fire protection disciplines

    • Access to a fully staffed permitting and licensing team — so you can focus on engineering
