Join Luxus Build: Where Safety Meets Precision in Building Performance

At Luxus Build, we don’t just inspect buildings—we safeguard lives through uncompromising standards in fire life safety and building systems performance. As a Fire Smoke Damper (FSD) Supervisor, you will lead a specialized team focused on the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire and smoke dampers. You won’t just manage a checklist; you’ll command a mission-critical operation that protects people, properties, and reputations.

This is more than a supervisory job. It’s an opportunity to lead in a field where details matter, compliance is everything, and quality is non-negotiable. Your leadership will ensure our clients meet the highest fire safety and code standards—while your technical expertise drives efficient, documented, and compliant service delivery.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead with Expertise: Supervise and develop a field team of fire smoke damper specialists, ensuring their work meets NFPA codes, OSHA safety standards, and Luxus Build’s high internal benchmarks.

    • Ensure Code Compliance: Manage inspection and testing protocols to comply with NFPA 80, NFPA 105, and applicable local building codes.

    • Schedule with Precision: Create and manage field service schedules, balancing client deadlines, team capacity, and quality expectations.

    • Coordinate Operations: Serve as the communication bridge between technicians, clients, project managers, and internal leadership to keep everyone informed and aligned.

    • Mentor Technicians: Provide ongoing training, technical guidance, and performance coaching to elevate your team’s skills and knowledge.

    • Perform Quality Audits: Review completed work, verify report accuracy, and ensure that all documentation meets industry compliance and insurance audit standards.

    • Handle Complex Diagnoses: Step in as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.

    • Own the Client Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for service-related projects, addressing client concerns and delivering clear, thorough service reports.

    • Support Safety & Tools Management: Maintain a proactive safety culture, oversee tool inventories, and ensure calibration and upkeep of field equipment.

What You Bring to the Table:

    • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in HVAC, mechanical systems, or fire life safety a plus

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in FSD inspection, testing, and repair

    • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role within the mechanical or fire protection trades

    • Advanced knowledge of fire damper systems, NFPA 80 & 105 standards, and building fire code compliance

    • Confidence reading and interpreting blueprints, life safety drawings, and technical documentation

    • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and field reporting tools

    • Relevant certifications highly preferred (e.g., CFSD, NICET, NFPA, OSHA-10/30)
