    Position Overview

    We’re looking for a Highway Design Project Manager to lead talented project design teams in delivering highway and bridge projects for DOT clients.

    Our transportation division provides a wide range of services, including:

    • Transportation planning

    • Roadway and bridge design

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage highway design projects from concept to completion for DOT and municipal clients.

    • Direct multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality roadway and bridge design solutions.

    • Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring strong communication, responsiveness, and project success.

    • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with client standards.

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.

    • Collaborate with internal teams on transportation planning, traffic engineering, and construction administration tasks.

    • Apply DOT standards, guidelines, and permitting processes to all project phases.

    • Utilize Bentley Products (MicroStation and OpenRoads) for roadway and highway design.

    Required Qualifications

    • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college (required).

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice (required).

    • 5+ years of highway design project management experience.

    • Experience with Kansas or Oklahoma DOT design projects (preferred).

    • Familiarity with Kansas or Oklahoma DOT standards and practices.

    • Proficiency with Bentley Products – MicroStation and OpenRoads.

    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
