The Opportunity
IDG is seeking a talented Interior Designer (3–7 years) to support a growing pipeline of hospitality, restaurant, retail, and branded interior projects.
In this role, you will work closely with Principals, Interior Design Directors, Senior Interior Designers, and interdisciplinary teams across Graphic Design, Foodservice Design, and Architecture to deliver exceptional environments—from concept to construction documentation and procurement.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
1) Concept + Schematic Design / Space Planning
Review project kickoff information, client goals, and design criteria
Execute schematic design packages aligned with brand standards
Develop space plans, preliminary finish direction, and conceptual design stories
Support presentations through mood boards, concept imagery, and design narratives
Coordinate early design intent with Architecture + Foodservice teams
2) Design Development + Finish / FF&E Selections
Select materials and finishes including:
flooring, wall finishes, ceiling finishes
lighting and decorative fixtures
furniture, upholstery, and accessories
Build and maintain finish schedules, selection libraries, and cut sheet documentation
Order and track physical samples and organize project folders with:
specifications, pricing, lead times, supplier info
Create physical + digital material boards
3) Rendering & Visualization Coordination
Provide renderers with all necessary design direction:
finish palettes, FF&E selections, sketches, details, lighting intent
Support iteration cycles and revisions
Produce and revise presentation graphics as needed in Photoshop
Develop colored finish plans / rendered floor plan packages
4) Construction Documentation Support
Prepare pin-up sets and design packages using internal checklists
Tag drawings, create design intent sketches, and support detailing
Produce and maintain:
FF&E schedules
specification books (pricing + lead times)
lighting cut sheets and layouts
Coordinate with consultants and internal Architecture team members
5) Procurement Support (FF&E + Accessories)
Assist with procurement documentation:
pricing matrices and Excel worksheets
formal quote requests
purchase orders
shipping coordination / tracking
Support accessories, art, and artifact packages from design through delivery
Requirements (Must-Have)
To be considered, candidates should have:
3–7 years of professional interior design experience
Direct experience in hospitality / restaurants / retail / hotels
(Tenant improvement and/or ground-up interiors strongly preferred)
Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
Strong ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
Experience coordinating with interdisciplinary teams (graphics, architecture, vendors, consultants)
Preferred Skills (Highly Valued)
Experience in high-volume or branded rollouts (restaurant groups, retail chains, hospitality concepts)
Strong understanding of interior detailing, constructability, and documentation workflows
Familiarity with procurement workflows and vendor coordination
Airport / entertainment venue / experiential project exposure is a plus (Ideation Design Group)
Software Skills
AutoCAD (preferred)
Revit (a plus depending on project type)
Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop)
Microsoft Excel (procurement + schedules)
Familiarity with InDesign / Illustrator is helpful due to brand-driven work
