This role will have overall responsibility for the design and management of specific projects, including K-12 and higher education, healthcare, civic, government, historic preservation, and sports lighting projects..
You Have:
- BS in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis) from an accredited university
- PE (Civil/Structural) license preferred
- Building Structural Engineering experience in steel, concrete, masonry, wood and light gauge steel
- Knowledge of RISA and other similar engineering software applications
- Proficiency with the International Building Code and related codes
- Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, owners, contractors, and other design professionals
- Excellent communication skills
You Will:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members on structural engineering projects.
- Perform independent engineering design on tasks with specific objectives and limited variables
- Understand and participate in all types of project tasks, including but not limited to schematic design, design development, final design, working drawings, specifications, agency approvals, and construction phase services
- Prepare accurate and complete calculations within project parameters
- Prepare details as required for BIM and CAD Designers
- Perform QA/QC reviews on engineering projects
- Monitor and meet the project schedule and budget goals
- Communicate with Architect, other Design Team members, Enforcement Agencies, and other project participants
- Follow established work rules, policies, and procedures
- Engage with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs
- Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned
