**Position Overview:**

As a Plumbing Design Engineer at Matern Professional Engineering, you will play a crucial role in our projects, contributing your expertise in plumbing system design to ensure the successful execution of various building and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with a team of multidisciplinary professionals, including architects, electrical engineers, and structural engineers, to create sustainable and efficient plumbing solutions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

\- Conduct detailed design and analysis of plumbing systems for a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

\- Collaborate with project teams to develop plumbing design concepts and integrate them into overall project plans.

\- Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and documents in compliance with industry codes and standards.

\- Perform hydraulic calculations and simulations to optimize plumbing system performance.

\- Evaluate and select plumbing equipment and materials to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.

\- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.

\- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and resolve any plumbing-related issues.

**Qualifications:**

\- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with a focus on plumbing design.

\- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing system design for commercial and/or residential projects.

\- Proficiency in plumbing design software, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering tools.

\- Strong knowledge of local and national plumbing codes and regulations.

\- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

\- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is preferred.
