Position Overview
This Mechanical Engineer V role applies advanced mechanical engineering expertise to develop final construction documents, support the owner through the full construction process, and serve as a mentor to less experienced mechanical engineers and CAD designers. This is a senior-level technical and leadership position focused on high-quality design delivery, client communication, and project continuity.

Key Responsibilities
• Produce mechanical design elements accurately and on schedule in alignment with project specifications
• Deliver design components consistent with project scope, hours, and parameters
• Prepare engineering construction documents suitable for permitting
• Participate in post-design activities including site surveys and punch lists through project completion
• Ensure design quality aligns with established technical standards
• Manage project timelines and coordinate design communication between the team and client
• Provide consultation regarding schedules, deadlines, building codes, surveys, and standards
• Produce complete engineering project specifications
• Submit timely billing for assigned projects
• Follow company work rules, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
• Assist with preparation of project-related materials as needed
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Demonstrated understanding of construction processes and interpretation of construction drawings
• Expert knowledge of building codes and standards
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering standards and related trades
• Demonstrated superior expertise within a specific sector
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• EIT and/or PE
Travel Requirements
Travel anticipated: 0–10%
Compensation
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $100,000 – $145,000 (based on experience)
