What You’ll Do
Lead Design Contributions: Take responsibility for project designs under the supervision of the Engineer of Record (EOR), developing design approaches and concepts.
Technical Analysis: Perform specific engineering studies and design analyses utilizing industry-standard software.
Drawing & Documentation: Oversee the preparation of accurate and professional drawings, ensuring quality and completeness.
Collaboration & Coordination: Actively participate in client and architect meetings, coordinate with local authorities, utilities, and municipalities, and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
Project Management Support: Assist with man-hour budget development, work plan creation, and provide input on project schedules.
Calculations & Equipment Selection: Conduct load calculations and select appropriate equipment based on project design requirements.
Quality Assurance: Review work for technical accuracy prior to final QA/QC and ensure designs align with specifications, owner expectations, and building codes.
Construction Support: Communicate design requirements during bid and construction phases, conduct job site visits, and review shop drawings and submittals.
Mentorship & Development: Assist in training and mentoring junior designers and Engineers-in-Training (EITs), while continuously pursuing self-education and staying current with industry trends.
What You Bring
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
Experience: Four years of applicable experience in mechanical discipline design and analysis.
Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Technical Skills:
Revit experience is a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
Professional Attributes: Ability to effectively evaluate design work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain detailed project records.
