    We’re hiring a seasoned Mechanical Project Engineer to join a fast-moving engineering team in Orlando. This role offers the opportunity to lead mechanical system design for complex commercial projects while mentoring junior team members and collaborating across disciplines.     Responsibilities

    • Perform mechanical design, engineering calculations, and system layouts per code and internal standards.

    • Lead engineering decisions independently across a wide range of commercial project types.

    • Supervise, mentor, and guide design staff and junior engineers.

    • Coordinate with project managers and clients on scope, schedule, budget, and technical strategy.

    • Produce and review detailed construction documents for quality, coordination, and functionality.

    • Interface with architects, engineers, and permitting agencies to ensure full integration.

    • Provide QA/QC reviews and ensure technical compliance with local and national codes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

    • Active PE license (required).

    • 8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience, preferably in commercial sectors.

    • Proficiency in Revit and mechanical modeling tools.

    • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes.

    • Excellent communication, time management, and decision-making skills.

    Bonus Points For

    • Prior experience in project types like grocery, retail, multifamily, and industrial.

    • Ability to manage multiple design teams or collaborate across disciplines.

    • Familiarity with permitting processes and jurisdictional requirements.
