Responsibilities
Perform mechanical design, engineering calculations, and system layouts per code and internal standards.
Lead engineering decisions independently across a wide range of commercial project types.
Supervise, mentor, and guide design staff and junior engineers.
Coordinate with project managers and clients on scope, schedule, budget, and technical strategy.
Produce and review detailed construction documents for quality, coordination, and functionality.
Interface with architects, engineers, and permitting agencies to ensure full integration.
Provide QA/QC reviews and ensure technical compliance with local and national codes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
Active PE license (required).
8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience, preferably in commercial sectors.
Proficiency in Revit and mechanical modeling tools.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes.
Excellent communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
