    Position Summary:
    We are looking for a growth-oriented Project Engineer (PE) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to advance your career in a locally owned and expanding firm, working closely with Principals and coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, and other team members.

    This Project Engineer (PE) leads and supports public-works projects—primarily water/wastewater utilities along with roadways, pump stations, and lift stations—by driving design from due diligence through construction. They build schedules, develop plans and reports, and produce detailed drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D that meet codes and design criteria. The role coordinates closely with principals, clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory review agencies to secure approvals and keep work on track. During construction, they provide technical support and resolve field issues. With 8+ years of utility design experience and a Texas PE (or ability to obtain), they combine strong communication and team leadership with advanced technical skills to deliver compliant, constructible solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct due diligence and research tasks
    • Assist in preparing and monitoring project schedules
    • Develop designs and drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D

    • Ensure work complies with applicable codes and design criteria
    • Provide technical assistance during construction phases
    • Secure internal approval for completed tasks

    Qualifications:

    • Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
    • Experience: 8+ years in public works, with a focus on utility design
    • Licensure: Texas PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months
    • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Leadership Abilities: Strong communication, collaboration, and team-oriented task management
