A respected and growing engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) with specialized experience in K-12 and healthcare facility design. This role is based in Austin, TX, with opportunities to collaborate across regional offices. What You’ll Do
Lead and contribute to electrical design for public and institutional buildings, focusing on K-12 and healthcare projects.
Design and document power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
Conduct site surveys and coordinate with utility providers for renovation or new construction needs.
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders across offices.
Develop construction documents and provide CA support through site visits and observations.
Perform technical analyses such as electrical load calculations and short circuit analysis.
Ensure design compliance with codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-performance team culture.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.
Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering for buildings.
Proficiency in Revit and industry-standard electrical design tools.
Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-discipline collaboration.
Experience in client-facing roles and construction-phase support is preferred.
