    About the Role

    A respected and growing engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) with specialized experience in K-12 and healthcare facility design. This role is based in Austin, TX, with opportunities to collaborate across regional offices. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in building systems design, values multi-discipline collaboration, and is committed to delivering projects that positively impact communities.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead and contribute to electrical design for public and institutional buildings, focusing on K-12 and healthcare projects.

    • Design and document power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.

    • Conduct site surveys and coordinate with utility providers for renovation or new construction needs.

    • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders across offices.

    • Develop construction documents and provide CA support through site visits and observations.

    • Perform technical analyses such as electrical load calculations and short circuit analysis.

    • Ensure design compliance with codes, standards, and industry best practices.

    • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-performance team culture.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.

    • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas.

    • Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering for buildings.

    • Proficiency in Revit and industry-standard electrical design tools.

    • Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-discipline collaboration.

    • Experience in client-facing roles and construction-phase support is preferred.
