    Position Overview

    An exciting opportunity for a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to join a highly respected MEP engineering firm in Charlotte, NC, with a clear path to firm ownership. This leadership role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the firm’s future, oversee complex projects, mentor junior staff, and develop key client relationships. The firm values high-quality work and is looking for an ambitious engineer with a long-term vision to take on ownership responsibilities within 2–5 years.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead Electrical Design: Oversee and manage the electrical design for healthcare, institutional, and complex multi-family projects.

    • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and foster collaboration across MEP teams to build technical and leadership skills.

    • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, manage expectations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.

    • Project Management: Take increasing ownership of projects, from concept through construction, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.

    • Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with senior leadership on firm-level strategies, growth initiatives, and client development.

    • Occasional Travel: Visit project sites within the Carolinas (1–2 days every other month).

    Required Qualifications

    • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

    • Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in healthcare, lab, institutional, or complex multi-family projects.

    • Leadership: Comfortable stepping into a senior role with mentorship and guidance as needed.

    • Client-Focused: A strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivering quality work.

    • Team-Oriented: Experience working collaboratively within MEP teams and a commitment to mentoring junior engineers.
