    About the Role
    A multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a seasoned Electrical Relay Engineer with expertise in power plant and substation systems. This role involves technical leadership across multiple electrical engineering projects with a focus on protective relays, equipment sizing, and power system analysis.

    What You’ll Do

    • Design and specify electrical systems for power plants, substations, and T&D projects

    • Perform arc flash, load flow, short circuit, and protective device coordination studies

    • Program SEL relays and coordinate protection schemes for high/medium voltage and 480V systems

    • Size electrical equipment and layout clearances to meet code and safety standards

    • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards

    • Oversee projects from conception through execution, maintaining safety and cost-efficiency

    • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)

    • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one U.S. state (required)

    • 10–20 years of experience in substation and power plant electrical design

    • Proven experience with protective relays, SEL relay programming, and grounding design

    • Proficiency in industry codes, standards, and electrical system analysis

    • Willingness to travel 5–10% for project needs
