    Position Overview

    This is an opportunity to lead high-impact residential design projects from concept through construction while serving as both a technical authority and trusted client advisor. As a Senior Licensed Architect, you will take ownership of complex residential work—guiding design vision, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering thoughtful, code-compliant solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

    Beyond project leadership, this role offers the chance to shape design standards, mentor emerging talent, and influence the firm’s continued growth in the residential sector. You will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise in detailing, constructability, and client engagement directly contributes to project success and long-term client relationships.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Lead architectural design across all phases, from concept and schematic design through construction documentation and administration
    • Serve as Architect of Record where applicable, ensuring full compliance with codes, zoning, and regulatory requirements
    • Act as the primary client interface, building strong relationships and guiding projects from feasibility through closeout
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and internal design staff
    • Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and in-depth code research to inform design decisions
    • Oversee quality control, constructability reviews, and technical documentation standards
    • Review and approve drawings, specifications, and project deliverables for accuracy and completeness
    • Mentor and develop junior architects and designers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
    • Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client interviews
    • Stay current with residential trends, materials, construction technologies, and sustainable design practices

    Required Qualifications

    • Licensed Architect (RA) required
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
    • 7–10+ years of progressive architectural experience
    • Strong experience in residential design (custom homes, multifamily, or townhomes)
    • Advanced proficiency in Revit (required)
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
    • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and documentation standards
    • Proven ability to manage projects, schedules, budgets, and consultant coordination
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • NCARB Certification
    • Experience with rendering tools such as Lumion or Enscape
    • LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable design practices
    • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced project environments
    • Demonstrated success contributing to business development and client acquisition
