    Position: Mechanical Engineer IV

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer IV to apply advanced engineering knowledge in the design and production of construction documents. This role is responsible for managing design projects, mentoring junior staff, and supporting owners throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop accurate and timely mechanical design elements consistent with project specifications.

    • Prepare construction documents suitable for permitting and project execution.

    • Manage project timelines, schedules, and communication between the design team and clients.

    • Provide technical consultation on codes, standards, site surveys, and compliance requirements.

    • Participate in post-design activities including punch lists, inspections, and construction support.

    • Ensure quality assurance of mechanical design deliverables in alignment with established standards.

    • Produce detailed engineering project specifications and maintain accurate documentation.

    • Support project billing and coordination with accounting.

    • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and CAD/Revit drafters.

    • Collaborate across disciplines to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

    • Perform additional project-related duties as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

    • Minimum 6+ years of mechanical engineering design experience.

    • Demonstrated understanding of construction processes and interpretation of construction drawings.

    • Expert knowledge of building codes, standards, and mechanical engineering principles.

    • Familiarity with related trades and interdisciplinary coordination.

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • EIT and/or PE license preferred.

    • Specialized expertise in a specific market sector (e.g., healthcare, industrial, commercial, or education).
