The Function Planning Intern is tasked with assisting our Function Planner with booking and accommodating private functions at our Seafood Restaurant during the Summer Season. Our facility includes a 100 capacity indoor restaurant/bar and an unique 250 capacity outdoor patio/bar.
Our events include luncheons, dinners and receptions for local and international businesses in addition to other private occasions such as rehearsal dinners! Your duties include contacting prospective clients, determining their needs, creating a proposal for their review, booking the event, planning the event's execution, and then accommodating the group on the day of.
You will work closely with the restaurant's Function Planner and will have to assist in coordinating function staff members to ensure all aspects of the event are being accounting for so the client has the best possible experience!
You must be willing to work as a team member and enjoy talking to customers. This job is all about the hospitality!
