Our IDEA Global Internship Program
This Footwear Merchandising Intern role is a full-time paid internship for approximately 6 months which starts with being a part of our 12-week long IDEA Global Internship Program in June 2023. Interns will receive support, coaching and mentorship, gain practical work experience, and develop new skills to expand their career possibilities.
Through the course of the program, we’ve designed a variety of exciting, fun and thoughtful sessions and experiences. There will also be opportunities to connect, collaborate and build relationships with interns across the globe. All interns follow two tracks of learning: the in-depth learning and skillset relevant to their role and the broad breadth knowledge of our business operations. Our IDEA Global Internship Program curates a journey for each intern to discover where their passions lie and helps them lay out their career path.

A day in the life:
All of our interns play an important role in our business and are key members of the team. Some of the tasks, roles and responsibilities are listed below. Reporting to the Sr Director, Footwear, this position will work as a key component of the footwear regional merchandising team, working to ensure the successful execution of merchandising strategies and product assortment to drive business growth and creative direction.
Support regional merchandising team in maintaining data integrity across systems and documents from seasonal buy to execution with the utmost accuracy.
Supporting with purchase order management, order creation, item creation support, on order reporting and product flow reporting.
Supporting with seasonal buy presentation deck creation as needed by management team.
Support with management of merchandising samples and set up for key gates and presentations.
Work cross functionally with our Planning and Ecommerce partners to ensure seamless execution of product go live Online and in Stores.
Support Regional Merchant with content creation for IMBR, MBR, Weekly Business Review and Quarterly Meltdown
Provide administrative support to the merchandising team where required.
Nice to haves:
Retail experience is highly desirable.
Background in Business, Marketing, or Merchandising
Ability to balance analytical and creative tasks
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Purchase Order management software knowledge desirable
Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal
You have a strong ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines
You are organized with a keen eye for the details
Ability to multi task and operate in a fast-moving environment
Ability to be flexible to changing business needs

Compensation and Benefits Package
For California Applicants: lululemon’s compensation offerings are rooted in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position in California is from $53,600 to $70,400 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our competitive Total Rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
