Accounts Receivable Specialist The Job The Accounts Receivable
Specialist will be responsible for several key accounts receivable
operational activities including: the cash application of retailer
payments, the processing of retailer manual payments and refunds, the
review and processing of Policy A Defective claims, the processing of
miscellaneous manual retailer debits and credits and the administration
of several retailer incentive programs. In addition, this team member
will support the month-end Policy A defective process and may be called
upon to perform other departmental tasks as assigned. What youll do
Primary Responsibilities: * Execute all functions related to the cash
application of retailer payments, which will involve working with
Accounts Receivable, Credit, retailers and outside sources to research,
analyze and resolve any payment or cash application issues. * Process
the daily manual retailer ACH payments and refunds, which includes
preparing the paperwork, obtaining the required approvals, submitting
the paperwork for processing and ensuring the associated transactions
are recorded in SAP. * Review and disposition all Policy A Defective
claims submitted by retailers. In addition, prepare monthly schedules to
be provided to select vendors and address retailer and internal
inquiries surrounding the program. * Record manual retailer charges and
credits based on the requests received from other internal departments.
- Perform departmental tasks as assigned. These tasks may include:
performing the daily lockbox balancing, posting and cash applying
re-work items or performing cash applications of credits associated with
various retailer incentive programs. Supporting Responsibilities: *
Administer and perform all processing associated with retailer loan
programs. * Record transactions necessary to clear the Company accounts
based on the information provided by business partners. * Coordinate the
store cancellation/closeout process and ensure each task is completed
timely. * Perform all functions related to the payment, cash application
and reconciliation of AceHardware.com accounts receivable account. This
will involve analyzing reports, identifying and communicating
unidentified variances, and working with our outside AceHardware.com
partner to ensure that any variances are resolved timely. What you need
to succeed * Associates degree in business (preferably Accounting or
Finance); Bachelor Degree preferred * 2-3 years of accounts receivable
experience in a larger corporate environment * Proven customer service
experience in a retail environment * Excellent verbal and written
communication skills * Strong analytical and organizational skills *
Ability to understand, investigate and resolve issues * Detail oriented
with the ability to multi-task * Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft
Word and Excel * Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team
