    Hazardous Waste Specialist Job ID: 669829 | Amazon.com.dedc, LLC DESCRIPTION Characterization/determination of waste including proper segregation, containerizing, labeling and preparing for shipment, in accordance with DOT and RCRA requirements. Physical maintenance and organization of the waste storage/management areas and all satellite accumulation areas, in accordance with regulatory requirements and applicable network policies. Ensure that required records needed to assist with policy-required waste recordkeeping, including waste generator logs and routine inspections, are being completed and maintained. Liaison with Site Safety teams, ICQA, ISS, Vendor Returns and facilities teams responsible for the generation and proper management and hazardous chemicals, hazardous and universal wastes. Support the Site Safety Team in preparing monthly waste inventory and development of shipping frequency. Researching trends, inventory loss and cost reduction efforts, where applicable. Must be trained to handle and process waste in accordance with RCRA (LQG), DOT, OSHA and state specific regulations and requirements. Must be trained in HAZWOPER and be available to assist with incidental spill/leak/release clean-up activities.
