Ready to apply? We currently have an opportunity for a Analyst - Testing & Analytics to join our team located at our Times Square Tower-ANN-New York, NY 10036. Position Overview: The Inventory Strategy team serves as ANN Incs center of excellence for testing and data analytics. The Analyst role leverages store, online, and client data to help identify new ways to grow revenue and profitability across multiple functions (merchandising, marketing, visual display, operations, and pricing) and all four brands (LOFT, Ann Taylor, LOFT Outlet, and Ann Taylor Factory). This role is part of a team of subject matter experts for the companys test and learn practice, partnering with diverse business functions to test innovative ideas before implementing in the real world. The team is also responsible for architecting and executing store-level promotions in SAP to drive the full-price business, with the Analyst role having primary ownership of building promotions. Major Responsibilities: Pricing & Promotions: * Primary owner of the promotion building process for LOFT & Ann Taylor full price brands * Support the full price brands in delivering sales and margin goals by building promotions in SAP * Own troubleshooting store level promotion and pricing issues * Serve as the subject matter expert for building complex promotion combinations with a high level of accuracy * Build relationships with Planning cross-functional team and partner to resolve promotion conflicts Testing: * As part of a team, work with cross functional partners across the organization to design strong tests, identifying and eliminating timing constraints and operational issues that may skew results * Utilize APT testing application to identify stores to be used as test and control * Follow up with stakeholders to ensure cross-functional execution of testing process * Conduct initial review and analysis of test results; with guidance, dig further into the data to understand key drivers of business results * When needed, conduct follow-up analysis in Excel or through store interviews to understand and explain unexpected results * Create Powerpoint presentations to communicate testing scenarios and results to business partners * Responsible for maintaining store and client attributes in APT application Analytics: * Design and conduct data analysis to support the identification, evaluation, and resolution of strategic opportunities * Gather, cleanse, and manipulate raw data to help identify drivers of client shopping behavior * Analyze product assortment, style / department productivity, and impacts of inventory levels to help identify opportunities for increased store-level profitability * Build financial models to quantify the revenue and margin impact of a proposed strategy * Support the delivery and maintenance of currently implemented analytics and reports Skills: * Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills * Detail oriented with excellent follow-through * Experience with quantitative data analysis ability to gather, manipulate, and interpret data at a low level of detail * Strong understanding of retail method of accounting * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience building models, tools & templates; proficiency in vlookup and sumif formulas * Results driven with demonstrated high level of intellectual curiosity that drives towards new solutions to business issues * Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in simple ways * Ability to manage time well by developing realistic work plans, goals and schedules * Ability to work productively, both independently and as part of a team * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Powerpoint Education and Experience: * BA/BS with emphasis on quantitative skills in economics, business, or mathematics * 2-4 years work experience in Planning, Allocation, data analytics, or strategy consulting preferred * Specialty retail experience preferred #LI-CS1 Location: Times Square Tower-ANN-New York, NY 10036 Position Type: Regular/Full time Equal Employment Opportunity The Company is committed to hiring and developing the most qualified people at all levels.
