About the Role
As Assistant Buyer Intern you will work in one of Kohl’s Merchant Offices, assist the merchandising team in analyzing the business and learn to drive key pricing and marketing processes while providing operational support.
What You’ll Do
● Analyze assigned lines of business by generating, reviewing and interpreting weekly reporting
● Learn about in-store and online pricing strategy and execution
● Participate in marketing conversations, ensuring Kohl’s is represented in a way that supports our product strategies while learning how to execute sample turn-ins for photo shoots, advertising proofing and digital experience reviews
● Actively engage in competitive shopping, analyzing trends and competitor pricing and marketing
● Network with other interns participating in Kohl’s internship program
● Participate in various company, department and intern events
● Additional tasks may be assigned
What Skills You Have
Required
● Undergraduate Junior majoring in Retail Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing or Management
● Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
● Experience creating, analyzing and manipulating spreadsheets
● Proficiency in Excel
● Analytical mindset
● Adept attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities
● Strong communication and presentation skills
● Passion for products and customer obsession
