JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Associate Financial Analyst will play an integral part in Abercrombie's external financial reporting process. The Associate Financial Analyst will also have direct exposure to the company's Corporate Controller, as well as other business leaders throughout the organization. Natural career progression to other accounting and finance roles within the finance team is possible after proven success in the role. 

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? 

• Preparing SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks), including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL tagging 
• Preparing investor presentations and schedules supporting earnings releases 
• Assisting in coordinating annual audits and quarterly reviews 
• Performing technical accounting and financial reporting research and documenting conclusions 
• Partnering with other departments throughout the company to review financial reporting processes and identify areas for continuous improvement 
• Preparing ad hoc financial reports for senior management and investor relations 
• Maintaining a strong internal control environment and effective disclosure controls and procedures

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING? 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA or working towards a CPA strongly preferred 
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, public accounting experience preferred 
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills 
• Highly organized with an acute attention to detail 
• Strong research capabilities 
• Ability to prioritize and manage projects with limited oversight 
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional business partners in a non-hierarchical environment 
• Creative approach to problem solving with a humble, team-oriented, and optimistic attitude 
• Exceptional MS Excel skills 
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, structured environment 
• Desire to learn & hunger for more 
• A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand
