Systems Specialist ( zTASC ) - Corporate Office, Memphis, Tennessee, United States - IT (Corp) - AutoZone-US - 180001FZ - S - Performs functional / technical requirements gathering, documentation, estimation, planning and project management on mid-size projects or parts of large projects. - Elicits functional requirements and documents for use by the application development team, the architecture team and other operational teams. - Negotiates with vendors to ensure that all system requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. - Provides training on systems to maximize operator efficiency and increase speed and accuracy of customer service. - Selects, develops, and motivates assigned staff. - Regularly maintains, upgrades and supports existing systems to ensure operational stability for business groups. - Provides customer support by answering business partner questions and maintaining a presence at the help desk or other customer point of contact. - Implements hardware and software changes based on new and existing system requirements and installs the necessary hardware and equipment infrastructure (power, cables, etc.) to meet these requirements. - Implements system health monitoring tools and monitors hardware and software systems to ensure that established SLAs are met. - Keeps abreast of all innovations and changes to AutoZone systems to ensure having the appropriate tools and training to provide quality support. - Responsible for the development of less experienced AutoZoners; mentors and teaches. REQUIREMENTS - Medium-sized project management: estimating, planning, controlling, and execution. - Functional/technical requirements gathering and documentation. - Associate's degree preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), or equivalent formal training program with specialized training and one to two years of experience. - Typically requires two to three years of experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities. - Solid problem solving, relevant domain and analytical skills. - Knowledge of MS Office. - Advanced functional and/or business knowledge. - Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cobol, Java, MS SQL, C, C++, Informix, Greenplum, Hadoop, ATG, QT4, Oracle, PostgreSQLOracle, PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CSP, CICS, TCP/IP, Networking, LAN administration, data analysis, computer operations, or customer service. - Subject matter expertise in a functional area. - Typically is able to perform tasks with little or no supervision.
