    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The automation team is a multi-disciplined group focused on finding opportunities for automation at A&F and helping support bringing a solution to that opportunity. This role would specialize in understanding opportunities and processes and then assisting with the application of the appropriate tools (initially RPA/Robotic Process Automation in the future we would hope to add more tools to our arsenal) that would result in driving desired improvement. While the position is situated in the DTC operations space we don’t have boundaries on where we look for opportunities. You’ll be looking in e-commerce finance HR marketing and everywhere in between for opportunities! A good way to think about this role is as the bridge between the business and the technical experts who would build the automation. This role would NOT be the responsible party for building the automations but if the applicant has skills in that area it would definitely be put to use!

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Couple with an ever changing/growing list of business process owners across the org to find opportunities for automation and develop those to a point we feel comfortable making a decision on whether to automate or not:
    • Manage all business outreach to process owners to find new ideas on our own or investigate ideas brought up to us
    • Manage running list of automation opportunities and provide status updates to the process owners whose ideas we will move forward with automating
    • Understand RPA feasibility for processes by partnering with technical experts - “Can this process be automated?”
    • Map current state and potentially future state processes and act as intermediary between process owner and technical partner in instance we proceed with bot creation
    • Act as the touchpoint for current standing of automation portfolio - what is currently being built what’s next etc . . .
    • Responsible for the tracking of any necessary KPI’s for each automation to ensure it’s doing what we designed it to do and driving the anticipated financial benefit
    • Provide status updates of RPA program on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to all levels of organization

    SKILLS

    • Comfort facilitating/presenting in front of groups
    • Some level of experience with process mapping we tend to use Visio
    • Strong ‘project manager’ skills such as monitoring milestones reacting when things fall behind proactively asking questions
    • Level of understanding of how to calculate an ROI for a project - how much is this automation worth?
    • Nice to have: Some level of familiarity with RPA regardless of technology - we use UiPath
