Instructional Designers will have an opportunity to work on meaningful initiatives including; developing a brand new buyers and merchandiser curriculum, training initiatives for store associates, and organizational development projects.     ABOUT THE ROLE

    As an Instructional on the Burlington Human Resources Learning & Development team supports our talent strategy of attracting, developing and retaining the best talent. This is an opportunity to join one of the three Learning & Development departments to focus on buyers curriculum, store associate training, or large organizational development initiatives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, identify needs and recommend/design the best learning solutions for subject matter and learner.

    • Support learning design projects through the design lifecycle from project scoping, research and analysis, design, development and implementation.

    • Recommend the appropriate learning delivery method/s to achieve the desired business outcome (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, reference materials, webinar, etc.).

    • Partner with application facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new learning content.

    • Review existing content for continued relevance and ongoing updates.

    • Provide exemplary internal customer service with professionalism and ownership of learning deliverables.

    • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration.

    • Facilitate instructor-led events as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience designing learning including classroom, e-learning and related course materials.

    • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced, often changing environment.

    • Proficiency working in MS Word, MS Power Point, and e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate 360, Storyline and Captivate.

    • Familiarity with learning management system technology, such as Workday Learning.

    • Understanding of adult learning theory and training design models as it applies to corporate learning.

    • Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or Project Management related field preferred, but not required.

    • Retail, hospitality, grocery, quick service or other equivalent fast-paced industry experience a plus.
