    Meetings and Incentives Intern for Business Support Services Team

    As a Meetings & Incentives Intern you will work on our Business Support Services (BSS) Team to assist with the implementation and event execution within the Meetings, Incentive and Business Travel department. Contributes to the timely and accurate coordination of projects within BSS such as The Loupe Conference, Incentive Trips, Charity Incentive Trip(s) and other ad hoc events as deemed by the Company.

    Signet’s BSS Team mission as Signet planners is to provide a platform for educating, motivating, and rewarding our stakeholders by exhibiting a premiere customer experience through exceptional planning, guiding and executing before, during, and after a program.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Supports with assigned projects for all aspects of planning a meeting or special event for the organization

    • Works with Managers and co-workers to execute tasks, aiding with location, food, transportation, and presentation arrangements as assigned

    • Works within project timelines with a work plan schedule and expected to meet all established project deadlines

    • Coordinates with managers to assist in producing programmaterials, signage, and attendee communications

    • Maintains accurate records, system input, and complete file management of materials developed/ordered as assigned

    • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends related to job tasks

    • Travels 1-2 times during program to get onsite experience (trip could be as short as 4 days but up to 10 days)

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently enrolled and pursing a degree in Hospitality Management/Tourism or Meeting/Event Planning

    • Anticipated graduation date after August 2023

    • Requires a minimum of 3.0 GPA

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    • Possess strong organizational and communication skills

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • This is a hybrid/remote opportunity

    • Flexible hours (part-time and full-time) over the course of 16 weeks

    • Willingness and ability to travel during the intern experience as well as help with assembly of materials for such events.

    The salary range for this opportunity is $18.00-$19.50/hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
