We are seeking a Payroll Administrator with Workday experience. This position offers a balance of work-from-home and in the corporate office, with periodic travel to stores and between offices in MA and NJ.
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate paycheck production for over 4,500 CTS employees. This includes compiling payroll information by managing, developing, implementing, and maintaining the payroll processes and procedures, completing reports, and maintaining records.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that weekly/biweekly payrolls are processed accurately and timely.
Develop an understanding of time tracking system environments for payroll resolution needs. This includes closing payroll for the week requiring manager approvals and the reconciliation and integration of time data into the payroll process.
Ability to use analytical skills at a level sufficient to perform statistical analysis of the payroll/data entry process – reporting and audit skills.
Assist with key projects and initiatives to transform and streamline payroll processes including identifying processes to be improved and documented, collaborate and partner with different functions to ensure processes are running efficiently.
Handle voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities.
Support the issuance of paychecks and direct deposit to bank accounts (may be done through 3rd party provider).
Supports audit and reconcilement of a wide range of payroll, personnel and benefits actions and documents.
Ensures and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Maintains payroll information by leveraging systems, and directing the collection, calculation, and transfer of data.
Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal, state and local income and FICA taxes and employer’s FICA, unemployment, FUTA.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Perform other duties as assigned and required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in-house payroll experience as well as experience with outsources services.
Experience with Workday Payroll a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A balance of work-from-home and in the corporate office, with periodic travel to stores and between offices in MA and NJ.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
