    Job Description

    Christmas Tree Shops, a year round retailer with 80 stores in 20 states is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing role. This is a hybrid role offering a balance of work-from-home and corporate office with periodic travel to stores and photography and video shoots.

     

    The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for building the customer-centric foundational insights that will drive the omni-channel content strategy for the brand across the marketing mix. This role will drive the strategic development and implementation of digital marketing programs with a focus on social media, video, display, and paid search.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in the creation and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns that translate the marketing objectives and strategies into successful tactics aimed at increasing awareness, driving customer engagement, acquisition and supporting the overall corporate growth strategy.

    • Plan and develop content in support of key seasonal and company-wide initiatives that will be leveraged across channels of focus.

    • Act as subject matter expert across digital platforms to enhance customer experience and drive channel optimizations. Hands-on experience with placing digital ads across social media, display, and paid search.

    • Partner with external media agency and internal media manager on defined strategies.

    • Monitor digital trends and insights to make informed decisions and recommendations on overall digital strategy.

    • Lead influencer strategy with a focus on broadening our audience and driving traffic across customer targets.

    • Build a PR and corporate social strategy from the ground up for the CTS brand.

    • Manage ongoing PR related activities inclusive of press events and philanthropic initiatives.

    • Develop strong relationships with internal and external teams to drive collaboration on marketing programs. Ensure cross-functional understanding of marketing goals and project objectives through effective, proactive communication. Update and collaborate with departmental and cross-functional senior management.

    • Partner with creative, production, media, operations, and CRM teams to deliver compelling targeted messages that drive sales and customer response. Ensure all customer acquisition and retention assets are on-brand and fit into overall brand strategy.

    • Develop a strong understanding of the CTS brand, utilizing consumer research studies that unlock actionable insights about the customer base to provide innovative recommendations that drive sales and consumer engagement.

    • Contribute to reporting/measurement/analysis of events, digital programs, and initiatives to develop facts and tools that assist with future strategizing, planning and decision-making.

    • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.

    • Manage direct report to ensure optimal performance and results. Identify and enable professional development, training, and career coaching. Build a positive, proactive environment based on mutual respect, a high level of execution and excellent communication with team members and external resources.

    • Analyzes competitive marketplace, develops a thorough knowledge of the brick and mortar and digital marketing industry, in addition to key in-store shopper trends and becomes an expert on marketing best practices.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree with Marketing focus

    • Minimum of seven years Marketing/Advertising experience within a brand or agency setting. Experience with digital and brand marketing preferred

    • 3+ years direct management experience preferred
